Hi, I am CMJPhotography.

Greetings! My name is Valerie Sherrill, and I'm a self-taught photographer who's been learning and growing my passion for the last 16 years. I have done almost every type of portrait photography and have followed many families over the years. It's so special to me to get to know my clients as friends and experience they're lifetime moments with them. I would love the opportunity to share that with you as well!

One thing I've recently discovered a love for is specialized sports photography. I'm learning to master manipulating light and fog for those vibrant light sessions!

I took a step back from photography from 2023-2025 while I returned to college and realized how much I missed it last summer. So, in June of 2025, I picked it back up and jumped in head-first, updating nearly every piece of equipment I own since then. A lot of my profit continues to be reinvested into the business as I constantly learn and grow to ensure I'm delivering results that meet both our expectations. I tried many new styles on this journey but have found that bright, colorful photos are where it's at for me!
